What is the Course About?

This qualification is designed for hairdressers who already have a Level 2 Hairdressing Qualification and wish to progress to a Senior Stylist role.
You will experience all aspects of creative practical hairdressing skills alongside learning the underpinning knowledge required.
The course is studied part-time over 2 years.
What subjects will I study?
The qualification consists of 4 mandatory units
•Creatively style and dress hair
•Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
•Creatively colour and lighten hair
•Provide client consultation services
In addition, you will study two optional units which will be chosen at the beginning of the course.
This course is also suitable as a refresher course for those looking to update their skills or qualifications.
Days and hours of attendance
2-year day release 1 day per week
What are my progression and career options?
Employment or managing salons worldwide, cruise ships, freelance stylist, teacher and assessor.
How will I be assessed?
The practical assessments will be achieved within the Synnova training salon throughout the course. The underpinning knowledge is assessed by oral questions, internal and external multiple-choice exams and assignments.
Entry requirements
This course runs over 2 years, to be eligible to enrol on this course you must: -
•have an NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing Qualification
•be employed as a stylist within a salon environment throughout the course
All applicants for the above course will be pre-assessed to ensure suitability prior to being accepted onto the above course.
