We run a variety of full-time higher education and professional business courses designed to develop the skills needed for being an entrepreneur or for a career in accountancy, marketing, human resources and business management.

Sessions are led by professionally qualified lecturers who have relevant industrial and commercial experience and will support you in developing the necessary knowledge and skills required to fulfil your potential and achieve career success. We at UCM have a wide network of connections to local industry, providing valuable work-based learning and employment opportunities.

UCM's recent successes include winning the Institute of Chartered Accountancy regional competition and a Gold Centre Award for our IAB Bookkeeping programmes.

    ENTRY:

    The entry requirements for the Degree is 96 UCAS points.

    Mature students that want to re-train or do not have these entry requirements can still apply, they will be interviewed and undertake an HE assessment.

  • BA/BSc (Hons) Professional Work Based Degrees (22/23 start)
    ENTRY:

    There are no formal entry requirements and suitability is assessed through interview. However, a high level of personal organisation and responsibility for your own learning is required. Full-time, part-time or significant voluntary work is needed to fully engage in work based learning.

    The length of time to complete your award is dependent upon the amount of prior learning to be claimed, and the rate of progress you negotiate with your tutor. However, as a part-time student, university regulations require you to complete at least two modules each year.

    International applicants for part time programmes can apply for a Tier 4 (General) student visa. Upon production of your visa documents and arrival on the island you will be invited to complete an enrolment formand pay the first year’s “non-Resident Fee” which will consist of three 20-credit modules.   • MA/MSc Business Entrepreneurship (WBIS) (23/24)
    ENTRY:

    The entry requirement is a 2:1 or first class honours degree (not necessarily in a business related discipline).

    The fees for this full-time course are split; two-thirds for the first year and one third for the second year This compromises of six 20-credit modules in the first year and three 20-credit modules in the second year.
