UCM Announces Next Open Event

University College Isle of Man (UCM) will be holding its ‘Information Morning’ open event on Saturday 11th February, 10am-1pm at the Homefield Road campus for anyone who would like to find out more information about what study options are available.

The event provides prospective students with an opportunity to speak with tutors from across all departments and levels of study, to help find an academic pathway which is well suited to their interests and future career goals.

Those attending are welcome to bring family and friends along to tour the facilities, explore the range of impressive facilities and get a feel for the study environment. UCM is proud of its ‘realistic working environments’ which are learning spaces that re-create work settings to prepare students for life after education, including: Annie Gill Café, Cristory’s Restaurant, Synnova Hair & Beauty salon, William Kennish Motor Vehicle workshop, and various Construction and Engineering workshops.

Jesamine Kelly, Principal of UCM, said “We are pleased to be hosting our upcoming Information Morning to support those who are considering studying at UCM, including school leavers or adults looking to return to education. Our experienced and friendly teaching and support staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the future and your next steps.”

“At UCM, we are proud to offer a wide range of courses, from school links courses, vocational courses and degree level studies, to recreational and professional qualifications. For students hoping to progress to higher education courses, either at UCM or university, we offer a wide range of advanced level courses which attract a full UCAS tariff. We have also recently launched a selection of Agricultural courses to support the farming community, so the Information Morning is the perfect opportunity to come in and ask any questions.”
