What is the Course About?

This one‑year programme gives you the chance to explore the Digital Enterprise faculty, including areas such as Business, Creative Media, IT and Art. You will complete four mandatory units:

• Being Organised

• Developing a Personal Progression Plan

• Working with Others

• Researching a Topic

While trying out different digital and creative vocational areas.

By experiencing a variety of options, you’ll widen your knowledge, discover what you enjoy, and feel more confident about making informed decisions for your future education or career.

Will I need a DBS check for this course?

No, you will not need a DBS check for this course.

Will I need any specific resources, uniform and/or kit?

No, all required resources will be provided for you.

What are the days and hours of the course?

You’ll study for approximately 16 hours per week.

Days and times vary depending on the subjects you choose.

Once you receive an unconditional offer, you’ll be given your timetable during Induction in September.

Will I undertake a work placement as part of the course?

No, however you will have lots of opportunities to build employability skills, and your lecturers have worked in the industry, which means you will benefit from their experience.

Level 1 Digital and Business Technologies will be assessed through internally assessed assessments.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However, it is ideal if you are working towards Entry Level 3 in English and Maths.
