Level 1 Built Environment and Outdoor Skills
What is the Course About?
This is a one-year programme of study offering you the opportunity to investigate 4 mandatory units, which include Being Organised, Developing a personal progression plan, Working with others and Researching a topic. Whilst investigating different vocational areas within Construction, Engineering, Horticulture and Motor Vehicle.
Through studying a variety of vocational options, it is hoped that you will widen your knowledge, enabling you to make informed career choices.
Will I need a DBS check for this course?
No
Will I need any specific resources, uniform and/or kit?
Clothes suitable to work in a workshop and safety footwear.
What are the days and hours of the course?
Approximately 16 hours a week. Days and times will vary depending on the subjects you choose.
Once an unconditional offer has been received, you will be provided with your timetable during induction in September.
Will I undertake work experience as part of the course?
None

Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements, however it is ideal for you to have at least entry Level 3 in English and Maths.
