What is the Course About?

This qualification is designed for hairdressers wishing to progress to a Senior Stylist role who already have a Level 2 Hairdressing Qualification and a minimum of 1 years full-time industry experience in a hairdressing salon

You will experience all aspects of creative practical hairdressing skills alongside learning the underpinning knowledge required.

The course is studied part-time over 1 year.

What subjects will I study?

The qualification consists of 4 mandatory units

•Creatively style and dress hair

•Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques

•Creatively colour and lighten hair

•Provide client consultation services

In addition, you will study two optional units which will be chosen at the beginning of the course.

1-year day release - Tuesday 1pm to 8pm

What are my progression and career options?

Employment or managing salons worldwide, cruise ships, freelance stylist, teacher and assessor.

How will I be assessed?

The practical assessments will be achieved within the Synnova training salon throughout the course. The underpinning knowledge is assessed by oral questions, written assignments and external multiple-choice exams.

Entry requirements

This course runs over 1 years, to be eligible to enrol on this course you must: -

have an NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing Qualification

be employed full-time as a stylist within a salon environment throughout the course duration

All applicants for the NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing will be pre-assessed to ensure suitability prior to being accepted onto the course.
