Debbie Scrimshaw

Throughout my time in recruitment, I’ve passionately supported individual career transitions from education into the workforce, with an additional focus on upskilling and reskilling.  I’m acutely aware of the challenges and opportunities we face both as an Island and globally.  I’ve enjoyed involvement with Junior Achievement, Career Ready, the Island’s secondary schools, and particularly UCM, collaborating in key curricula such as employability, job search preparation, market intel and employer engagement.
I understand the genuine impact of UCM in the support of current and future development of the Island’s people, prosperity, and infrastructure. I see my role of Governor as an opportunity to extend my experience to a distinguished Board of Governors and an exceptional UCM leadership team, to contribute positively to the essential understanding and development of future skills, behaviours, technologies, and jobs, collaborating with education, business, people, and the community, to the benefit of the Island.
